Volunteer Right From Home

Our core volunteers are stretched to the limit and burn out is just around the corner. I'd like to avoid that for everyone's sake and hope we can share some of the volunteering with others!

One such volunteer opportunity is for a volunteer to make videos of the animals that are available for adoption. If you have a Mac Imovie is a great program. I am not well versed on PC types but I know currently one of our volunteers is using a PC to do videos.

Basically I (or another foster parent) would send you video clips of an animal. You would contact the foster family of that animal to get a bit of history on that animal. You would get some still photos of that animal from our web site, Facebook and or the foster family. Then you would string together the video footage, photos and write a simple story and music to go with it. (See Star's video to get an idea in the previous post. Or any of the other movies already on our web site.)

It is something you can do from home and is a great volunteer opportunity for a person who really wants to help get an animal adopted.

We do ask that when you start a project that you finish it within a week otherwise you may do all that work and then the animal gets adopted before the videos even up.

You DO NOT need to be a formal volunteer to do this so you don't have to come to an orientation if you don't want to nor do you have to come and volunteer anywhere else.

Please let us know if you can help!!! Please private message us.
