Fourth Annual Spirit Walk
12 Miles Sharing Everyday Miracles
Sunday June 25 9:00 (optional) guided meditation on top of the sled hill.  10:00 a.m. until approx. 5:00 p.m.
Where: Old School Forest preserve.  The walk will begin at the bottom of the sled hill
Our Spirit Walk is a very special day. We walk from Libertyville to Highland Park.  It began four years ago as a personal journey of reflection for AEAR’s founder, Sandy Kamen Wisniewski took from her childhood home in Highland Park to where AEAR began in Libertyville.  Since then it has become a regular tradition shared by many.
Participants can receive sponsors for each mile, for the whole walk or whatever they would like.  Each mile we post an inspirational message on Facebook.  This year it’s all about every day miracles.  So each mile an inspirational post will be shared about observing, honoring and enjoying every day miracles.
This walk is much more about being in the spirit of compassion and far less about exercise.  Yes, we walk 12 miles but we stop for lunch and then usually ice cream and then enjoy a picnic in the park afterwards or go out for a bite for dinner.
This walk is a little about raising money for Animal Education and Rescue and a lot about rejuvenating your spirit!
At 9:00 a.m. those who would like to join Sandy, meet her at the top of the sled hill at Old School Forest preserve for a guided meditation.  The walk officially begins in the parking lot by the sled hill at Old School Forest Preserve in Libertyville at 10:00 a.m.  Join us for part of the walk or the whole thing.  Anyone can come along and all are welcome.
