More about Maci

Maci, a two-year-old lab and golden mix, came to us with heartworm. She was given up by her owner because she was moving. She has since been treated for it and is on bed rest. By the middle of August she will be off bed rest. We are beginning our search for a foster or forever home for her now. Maci weighs around 50-55 pounds. She is EXCELLENT with people of all ages. She is higher energy so an active family is a must. She is bossy around small dogs so an only dog or bigger dog would be better. She can leap for foot fences so no fence or six-foot fence would work well for her. We will work on getting new photos of her. In the meantime this one kind of gives you and idea of her "smiley" personality! Please consider Maci to adopt or foster. Please also pass this along!

UPDATE 07-16-2012:


Maci appears to be too pushy with small dogs so she would be best  suited for a home without other dogs or with a dog more her size.   Maci is a high energy dog that would do well with an active family.
